There are a ton of different kinds of lawn aerators for sale out there that you can choose from. If you are looking for lawn aerators for yourself, you should know that there are at least three different varieties. The first type of lawn aerator is called a spike aerator. Usually, Spike aerators can be either towed behind a tractor or it can be used manually with a manual aerator, or they can be pushed in front of a machine, or rolled in front of someone aerating their lawn.  If you are comparing spike aerators or core aerators, core aerators seemed to do a better job because they last longer, and because they actually loosen the soil rather than compacting it as you try and use it.

If you’re looking at core aerators, you can also buy a manual aerator, or hand aerator, you can buy a mechanical aerator, or a tow behind aerator. I really like core aerators, because it works perfectly in aerating your lawn. Plus, it also adds a light layer of top dressing to your lawn when you use one of these. The plugs that you leave on your lawn contain aerobic bacteria that help to break down the fats that are in your grass. They make your lawn a lot more healthier and greener.

The third type of aerator that you could purchase is called a liquid aerator or chemical aerator. Sometimes these work really well, but usually they make the soil pretty loose in order to get it to penetrate and do its job. If you really want to be effective using chemical aerator, use a mechanical core aerator first and aerate your lawn with it, then, apply the liquid aerator directly to the lawn. This will provide maximum benefit when you are going to be aerating your lawn.
