Soon after removing the mold, place your creation once again in the plastic or garbage bag and leave it in an area where it will not be disturbed or meddled with. You must also retain the moisture of your hypertufa by occasionally misting it with water. Depending on the size of your project and the humidity and temperature of the place, the curing process could take for approximately a month for it to be fully dried and usable. You’ll be aware that your hypertufa is thoroughly cured when it produces a hollow sound once you knock on it.
