Oh Yeah Baby, Bedroom Interior Design
So the love life needs a little jump start and you want to do your part by getting involved in some bedroom interior design. Well listen here my friend and I will impart unto you the knowledge you will need to turn your bedroom into your lair of love with some very simple bedroom interior design tips.
That special lady in your life will think she is with a totally new man and these bedroom interior design tips are sure to put that sparkle back into her eye. Always be careful when you implement these bedroom interior design ideas because you don’t want to hurt yourself and miss out on taking advantage of your new lair of love.
The first step in your new bedroom interior design is the obligatory mirror on the ceiling. It is best to do the mirror on the ceiling in sections because anything too big can crack while you are putting it up and that would be dangerous. If you have any hesitations on installing a mirror ceiling then get some one that knows how to install a mirrored ceiling. It may cost a little to do it but the mirrored ceiling is a staple of any bedroom interior design project that is destined to be a lair of love.
Don’t Forget the Curtains
No lair of love is complete without some very thick and sexy curtains for keeping the light out and the love in. Be sure to install reinforced curtain rods to support your thicker curtains as the weight of the thicker curtains can cause your standard curtain rod mount to collapse. But once you get that reinforced curtain rod up, and you hang your thick red velour curtains, then it is time to let your special lady know that your lair of love is almost done.
Dark gold tassels are always a nice addition to red velour curtains as the dark gold color against the red is a nice contrast in the light and also creates a stunning effect in the low light.
There is no lair of love without a mood and the mood is set with a quality stereo system and the right mood lighting. Installing dimmers in place of your light switch will allow you to lower the light in the room to any level you like. A stereo that accommodates four speakers is always best to get sound to circulate throughout the entire room and if you can afford a receiver with 5.1 Dolby surround then you can take advantage of the new techniques in CD mixing.
You can add your own velvet black light posters and fully stocked bar as you see fit. Just don’t skimp on the details; it will pay off handsomely.
Competition Can Be Fierce in the Best Interior Design Schools
There are over 130 schools and colleges in North America that deal specifically with interior design and they are accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research which sets the standards for policy as well as curriculum. They all have a tough application process which is par for the course in the best interior design schools. Of course, there are even more schools out there for interior design but they do not have the accreditation.
Getting Educated
Some students are quite surprised after being accepted into one of the best interior design schools that the courses are not all about manipulating space and adding finishing touches to a room, which is what interior decorating is. Rather, interior design encompasses the ground floor and up such as where stairs should go as well as adjoining walls and other architectural elements which could influences a space.
The best interior design schools are not just going to focus on the immediate skills needed to perform a job. They will have a wide variety of required courses that will help prepare you for dealing with the business world like business ethics, marketing, drafting and more. These schools are similar to regular four-year colleges in that you will take pre-requisite courses like drawing and color theory before you can take the core classes in your favored concentration.
Popularity of the Path
The best interior design schools are getting more and more applications each year for entry into their programs which is why the field is so competitive. There are hundreds of students applying for one slot in a program that may be limited in size due to limited staff as well as limited space. In addition, there are so many talented students that it sometimes comes down to their student portfolios which reflect what has been accomplished in high school or trade school.
The design shows on television are part of the reason for the rising popularity for the competition to get into the best interior design schools. Therefore, you may have to apply to multiple schools in several states to increase the chances of obtaining acceptance into a program.
You will want to conduct a little bit of due diligence into several of the best interior design schools and choose the top five or six that you would be happy to attend. Location, school curriculum and choice of interior design concentrations and cost are typically the top criteria for narrowing down the list of best interior design schools that would best suit your needs.
Basic Elements of Church Interior Design
When you say the word church you are obviously referring to a Christian church and in the world of the Christian church there are some basic elements of church interior design that are almost always present, and in some cases required, regardless of which church you go to.
Of course the elements of church interior design are religious in nature although some of them have changed in stature over the years. In Medieval times a church would sometimes get ransacked just for its stained glass windows as these windows were seen as valuable treasure at the time. Of course today stained glass windows are still an important part of church interior design but they are hardly considered treasure anymore even though stained glass windows can get very expensive.
One of the staples of church interior design is something referred to as the Stations of the Cross. If you go to a Christian church you will notice along the walls many pictures that seem to be telling a story and inevitably you will notice that one of the pictures is Jesus carrying his cross and then another of the pictures is Jesus on the cross. These pictures are done in a particular order and must display, in one way or another, each of the Stations of the Cross as outlined by the Church.
There are 14 Stations of the Cross and their image is based on simple titles as supplied by the Church. For example, stage one is titled “Jesus is condemned to death” and that image will somehow show the Romans condemning Jesus to death. These Stations of the Cross are either in the form of the stained glass windows that line the church or, more often than not, elaborate plaques that hang on the wall. All of this is a staple of church interior design.
The Bread and the Wine
Another staple of church interior design is an altar and this is usually made out of marble. Other churches have their altars made out of wood but the majority of Christian church altars are marble. You cannot have a church without an altar so it can be said that this is one of the critical pieces of church interior design. Another critical piece of church interior design that no church can be without is the tabernacle. The tabernacle holds the bread and wine for communion. Some tabernacles are very elaborate while others are simple boxes; regardless of the design the tabernacle will usually sit behind, or next to, the altar.
The other main and important piece of church interior design is the seats themselves commonly referred to as pews. A pew is a long bench that will have a padded place to kneel at the foot of it. Churches do not normally have individual seating as the pew has been standard seating in churches for centuries.
